First, a short update. The strike's over! The teachers' union and the district reached a tentative agreement after midnight last night, and everyone went back to school this morning. Woo-hoo!
Now, onto the business of the day. This week's theme for the photography challenge is "Favorites," so I thought I'd share one of my favorite gadgets - EVER. Now, I'm a gadget girl (and married to a gadget boy), and we love our electronic toys. But this is really one my all-time faves. When I first got it (just about a year ago, now), I wasn't sure I'd like it. It was bigger than my Blackberry Pearl, and didn't fit as well in my pocket. It took some getting used to. But once I started playing with it, finding useful (and now hard to live without) apps, and using its features, I quickly realized that this little gadget is amazing. Since then, I've come to rely on it for everything from instant access to email from just about anywhere to keeping my shopping lists organized and handy. What will they think of next????
I love my iphone, so handy.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that there's at least a tentative agreement, hopefully one that favors the teachers! I keep thinking I need to join the 21st century and look into an iPhone...
ReplyDeleteI love iphones.
ReplyDeleteI was a 'its just a cell phone' type of gal until my husband got me the iPhone way back when. Less than 24 hour after getting it, there was no turning back. Yea, it qualifies for the 'favorite' category.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is a teacher, so I hear frequently about the absolutely awful time teachers throughout the country are having. I really do hope the agreement favors the teachers.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an iPhone yet. I've been rather like Nicki used to be, but my son has been hinting that he wants an iPhone, and once he gets it, we'll all fall behind like dominoes.
Oh I totally agree! I got mine at the holidays and cannot believe how much I like and how much I rely on mine!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the strike is over! I wish I had an Iphone! Those things do everything!
ReplyDeleteYup, my iphone is one of my favorites too.
ReplyDeleteWish I had a iphone... got a itouch instead!
ReplyDeleteWish I lived where an iphone would work! It seems like it's a very fancy palm pilot and a phone in one. . . and then I'd have one less gadget in my purse!!!! Hooray for the teachers! I hope it works out well.
