The Getty

We made today an L.A. day. We left the house at around 9:00 and drove up to the L.A. Farmers Market to have breakfast at Du-Pars (ooh, their pancakes are to die for!). After that, we drove to The Getty and spent a few hours wandering around the gardens and some of the exhibits. It was a fantastic opportunity to try out my new lens! They have a marvelous exhibit going on now focused on Leonardo da Vinci, which was fascinating! It included a lot of sketches that he'd made for his painting and inventions. There was something almost voyeuristic about looking at them - it's hard to explain. It was truly a fantastic day! I have more pictures from our time there (as well as the rest of my mom's visit) posted here, if you'd like to take a look.

  1. It sounds like you live in a most fantastic place! Looks like you did a great job composing this shot. By the way, GoodReads is great! I'll have to look for you over there!
