Up, Up, Up We Go!

Today we drove out to Palm Springs to get some lunch and go up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to the Mount San Jacinto State Park to wander around in the snow and take in the sites. It was a gorgeous day in Palm Springs, with temperatures almost 80 degrees. At the top of the tram, though, (at 8,500 feet) there was still lots of snow on the ground and temperatures were only in the high 30s - with wind chills around 25! It was simply stunning, though. The view of the mountains, clouds, wild birds, and yes, the snow, all made for an incredibly memorable day! More pictures of our visit can be seen here, starting on Page 4.

  1. That looks so beautiful! We've been there a number of times since it's not too far away. Were you there to feel the earthquake? We felt it here in North Phoenix!

  3. Kim, we were actually driving home when the earthquake hit, and didn't even know it had happened until we got home and read it online. We haven't felt any of the after shocks either, although some of my friends here have. I can't say I'm sorry to have missed it. LOL!
