A month or so ago, as I pulling out of the garage, Jim bent down and looked at my front tires with a look of concern on his face. I hadn't noticed it before (duh, I'm a woman!), but they were really worn. Very surprising, seeing as my car at the time had less than 9,000 miles on it. Hmmm... Well, things like that tend not to get better, and this weekend, we got my little hot hatch new tires. Now, that might seem like a silly thing to take a picture of, but it's so nice to look at those front tires now and not see the wear markers!
Not to mention how much safer you'll feel driving! I always worry about having a safe car, especially during winter. Who wants to get stuck with a flat tire in the middle of a snowstorm! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI hate buying tires but I do love the sense of security knowing I'm not going to have a flat.
ReplyDeleteBut why so worn at 9000 miles? Alignment ok so new tires won't dissolve so quickly?
ReplyDeleteI so hate spending my money on practical things but it does make me feel good to do it at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAngela, the tires that came on the car were pretty lousy. They're also considered "ultra high performance summer tires" and have a very low wear rating. Combine that with a sports car with heavy torque to the front wheels, and VOILA! Tires that wear out way faster than most.
