Pride of Madeira (Echium)

I love taking pictures of a flower and then actually being able to find out what they are! These grow all over the place around here, and are abundant on the trail that we walk down by the beach. They're quite spectacular to look at, and the plants are rather tall. Their color, though, really makes them stand out against all the green in the background. Beautiful!

  6. These are beautiful. We don't have them around here but I wish we did. Love the size and color! It's so fun seeing the different foliage and flowers from different areas of the country!
